Established in 1982, DPI Sdn Bhd is a leading Malaysian aerosol manufacturer, renowned for its flagship brand Anchor Spray Paint—the nation’s most trusted aerosol paint. While Anchor is our most recognized brand, DPI specializes in a wide range of industrial and consumer aerosol products, serving diverse sectors with innovation and reliability.
From an initial offering of 30 colors, Anchor Spray Paint has grown into an extensive palette of over 300 shades, catering to industries such as automotive, construction, furniture, and DIY markets. Today, DPI holds more than 25% of Malaysia’s spray paint market, a testament to our enduring quality and customer trust.

1975
DPI Sdn Bhd began as a manufacturer of decorative and household paints, laying the foundation for a legacy built on quality, innovation, and excellence in coatings.
1982
Under the leadership of our Founder, Mr. Peter Chai, DPI pioneered the production of aerosol paints, carving a niche in the industry and marking the beginning of our evolution into a diversified aerosol manufacturer.
2019
DPI reached a pivotal milestone with the formation of DPI Holdings Berhad (DPI) and its listing on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. This marked a new chapter in our growth, reinforcing our commitment to expansion and shareholder value.
To strengthen our regional presence, DPI acquired 100% equity in DPI Alliance Pte. Ltd. (formerly DPI Aerosol Pte. Ltd) in Singapore, enhancing our footprint in Southeast Asia.
2021
DPI expanded into Japan with the acquisition of a 90% stake in DPI Japan Co., Ltd., further solidifying our position as a global aerosol solutions provider.
2022
DPI diversified into plastics manufacturing by subscribing to an 80% equity stake in DPI Plastics Sdn. Bhd, reinforcing our capabilities to support future growth.
2024
DPI entered the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector in East Malaysia by acquiring 65% equity in Eastern Forever Malaysia, leveraging an extensive distribution network to expand our multi-industry presence.
Present
Today, DPI serves over 700 distributors and retailers in Malaysia and supplies more than 9 overseas private-label customers. Our flagship brand, Anchor, is one of Malaysia’s most trusted spray paint brands, while we continue to lead as the nation’s largest OEM industrial aerosol manufacturer.
